SUMMARY
The Yiling Laozu, Wei Wuxian, died in the siege of the Burial Mounds.
He was a monster whose death everyone cried out for; they condemned him for deserting his sect and losing himself to depravity, and his death brought endless elation.
More than a decade later, Wei Wuxian recognizes himself as the most well-behaved wandering spirit around. Yet, to his surprise, someone performs a sacrificial ritual to summon him into their body, allowing his return to life in this world once more! Having changed his physical body, Wei Wuxian intends to conceal his identity; but who would have thought that following numerous mishaps, he would be taken back to the Lan residence by Gusu Lan’s Lan Wangji?
As the grandmaster of the heinous path in his previous life, Wei Wuxian originally believed that dying without an intact corpse would be his ending, but after this involuntary reincarnation, he instead must face the cultivation clans that had once besieged him. The more troublesome matter, however, is that the perpetually severe and inflexible Lan Wangji obstinately refuses to let him leave his side; no matter how much of a scene Wei Wuxian makes, takes liberties with him, or even climbs into his bed in the middle of the night, Lan Wangji remains as unaffected as ever and continues to treat him with serenity. This Lan Wangji, titled Hanguang-Jun and illustrious amongst the cultivation world—what exactly does he plan to do? And what is Wei Wuxian going to do with himself?
